Benefit: How to look the best at everything: My Thoughts!

Today I'm here to talk about on of my favorite things lately. Benefits How to look the best at everything kit, when really it's just a kit if you maybe wanna touch up you're makeup or you want some coverage for the day. I personally love benefit so I was excited to try it out considering there other Boxed kits like this but smaller.

They have 3 shades in this Light, Medium, and dark. The light one is probably most suitable for light-medium skin tones because of the foundation color. Especially if you are a 1 or 2 in the boi-ing concealer this one is perfect.

This kit comes with a .25 oz of The POREfessional, .23 oz Hello Flawless Oxygen wow Foundation in "Cheers to me" Champagne, 2 .05 Boi-ing concealers in 01 and 02, and a .14 oz Hello Flawless Powder in "Me, Vain?" all for $30 which isn't bad but if on a budget can be pricey.

POREfessional, Hello Flawless Foundation, 01, 02 concealer, and  Hello Flawless Powder.

This kit also comes with instructions on how to get a flawless step by step face. I personally think that this kit is a little to pricey considering these are very few amounts of stuff. It's nice especially when traveling but not something I would use on a day to day use.

What's your favorite foundation, concealer, primer, and powder?

Rimmel Blush in Autumn Catwalk: Review & Swatches!

I went to target this weekend and good girl me only bought one makeup item. This is this Rimmel London Blush in Autumn Catwalk. After I seen Missglamorazzi aka Ingrid on Youtube talk about how much she loves it, I thought I would give it a try. This is one of those pinky blushes so if your more of a coral or berry color blush girl like me, then I would use the darker pink in this. Because of the berry tint to it.

I love the Packaging of this blush because it's the same kind of packaging as their single eye shadows. I think that for the price of this blush is really worth it.

Here I swatched each one individually, then did one big one of all of them. See how the last 2 colors are really nice berry toned. This is one of my new favorite blushes. What I also like is that it's very settle shimmer, so you don't have big chunks of glitter on your cheeks.

Rimmel blushes retail for about $4.50 with 4.5 grams of product so it's like paying $1 per gram which is really not that bad. They can be found at any drugstore or wherever Rimmel is sold. I think that Rimmel and Revlon blushes are some of the best the drugstore has. If you try it email it to me beautybaby134@gmail.com

What's your favorite drugstore blush?

Monday Questionnaire: October 29th, 2012

Since I live on the East coast I went to my local Target this weekend to stock up on canned goods, milk, water toilet paper, etc because of Hurricane Sandy  and I'm really proud of myself, I only bought 1 beauty item considering it was hard not to. (shopaholic)

1.) Mood: Pretty Good, Hurricane Is starting to die down a little bit where I live. I'm still glued to the tv hoping for safety of others.

3.) What is your favorite song at the moment?
Begin Again by Taylor Swift off of her new album "Red"

4.) Current nail polish:
None, I've been on a roll switching up my nail color. But I'm painting them soon which means NOTD!

5.) If you could only use one makeup product, what would it be?
I would say a BB cream. Mainly because it's multi purpose. it can be used as a sunscreen, a base or a tinted moisturizer/ foundation. Plus I wouldn't feel like I've had a lot of harsh chemicals on my face. After that it would have to be Concealer, Powder, Mascara.

6.) Current outfit:
Ravens Football Jersey, and black yoga shorts. Comfy day for me as I spend 2 days inside :(

7.) Are you good at keeping in touch with friends and family?
I am very close with my parents I tell them everything because they're always there for me. Other than that my aunts, uncles, and cousins, I really only see them around the holidays :(

This isn't really a collection but I'm excited for the limited edition red lipsticks from the drugstores. I love red lipsticks and the only ones that really work for me are the Tarte Glamazon ones and the Maybelline, Revlon, and other bright candy apple lip colors :)

9.) The world's most wonderful chef is at your home ready to fix any meal you desire-- what do you order? Seafood! I love Red Lobster & since I don't really get to eat out a lot. Benefit Coralista Ultra Plush Lip Gloss: Review & Swatch!

Today I'm here to talk about my recent purchase from benefit was an Ultra Plush lip gloss. I mainly went to go get a new foundation because I was out which I did get (review soon!) But when i asked her what this was laying on the counter she asked if I wanted her to put it on me and BAM! instant love! These glosses go with there 6 most popular boxed powders. The sales lady in the stores put it  on me and instantly I knew, it was the one for me. I personally am a gloss girl rather then lipstick. So i knew that glosses was what I went to go get.

This lip gloss comes with a squeezy tube. I'm not that huge of it because I mostly like a wand or brush applicator but if it gets messy I can always just wipe clean the top then it will be like new again!

As you can see the lip gloss makes it look like it's going to be a really bright red to go with the light coral blush but in reality, The gloss goes on sheer but it still gives a nice flush of color. I personally love the blush as well. It's one of my all type favorites I like to wear into the spring.

As you can see the lip gloss is a bit more red then the blush but when on the lips it just like a my lips but better color. Nothing against benefit i'm just saying that the way they have the bottle it makes it seem like it's going to be an extremely dark gloss.

On my lips the Coralista looks beautiful. I think on my lips it's a nice coral, peachy, pink. It gives off an nice sheen. I think that the gloss is worth the hype. The benefit Plush glosses retail for about $16 and are available wherever benefit it sold like Sephora and Ulta!

What's your favorite lip gloss? Do you like wand, tube, or brush applicators?

xoxo Lexie

Sigma Synthetic Kabuki Kit 5 Brushes: Review!

So I recently picked up some new brushes from sigma. I already have Essential Kit and I figured it was time to get some new brushes I also ordered the Performance Eyes Kit. I know Sigma has a Synthetic Kabuki 4 brush Kit for $56 but I think the $13 extra for this kit is worth it because you get another brush.  I love sigma brushes because they don't shed and are so soft and easy to use! I really love this kit because it has the synthetic top which makes it so easy to blend cream products in, and get concealer around those "hard to reach" areas.

The Synthetic Kabuki 5 Brush Kit Comes With a F80- Flat Kabuki, F82, Round Kabuki, F84 Angled Kabuki, F86 Tapered Kabuki, and a F88 Flat Angled Kabuki

The F80 Brush Is my 3rd favorite. This Brush says it's best for Applying liquid or cream products to flat areas of the face such as the forehead and cheeks. I personally just use this to buff on my liquid foundation and then use the F82 to blend it in my skin. This overall is one of the best brushes that Sigma has ever made.

I would say that the F82 brush is my favorite. This brush is what I can use for anything like blending foundation, powder or cream blush, bronzer powder, Anything. I love it so much. It says it's best for blending mineral products onto the skin. But since it's Synthetic it can work for cream too. I really like how this brush is universal so if one of my other brushes was dirty I could use this one.

This F84 Brush is probably my least favorite blush because I can really only use it for 2 things. I like my stuff to be multi-purpose. Powder bronzer, blush or cream bronzer or blush is really all I could use this for. It even says best for Buffing cream blush or bronzer onto the skin. I'm not saying I will never be using it. But I will say that my other Synthetic brushes will probably be used more often. There is nothing bad about this brush but it's just not the one for me.

This F86 is my second favorite brush. I love this because If my buffer brush is dirty I can use this one. Along with powder or cream highlighters because with he pointed tip it's easy to get small places onto my face such as down my nose my cheekbones and my cupids bow. This says it's best for applying cream and liquid foundations on the harder to reach contours of the face. I also like using this one for blending. Blending is a very important step when it comes to makeup so if my other brush the F82 is dirty I can use this one.

This is kind of an in-the-middle brush. It's not my favorite but it's not my least. This kind of like a typical foundation brush but this one is angled. I personally think that this brush is just one of those spare or travel type brushes. I will use this probably just for blending out bronzer or blush but it says best for blending foundation onto the skin in the hard to reach areas of the face.

What's your favorite brush from sigma or brush in general?
Let me know! Lexie xoxo :)

Nail of The Day: OPI I Have A Herring Problem

Today's Nail of The Day is OPI. As you can see from my past posts OPI is my favorite brand and mainly only buy from them. This is one of the polishes I got around last year, around this time actually so perfect for cold, chilly fall weather. I personally love the blue/grayish look that it gives off and how the polish in the bottle actually looks like what's on your nails. You don't really see that often. I love nail polishes like these, and only 2 coats of this polish did the trick.

OPI retails for about $8.50 per bottle (unless you get a buy 2 get one free deal from Ulta!) and is totally worth it. The release collections frequently so i'm sure you will find a color that you like :)

What's your favorite OPI polish?

Nail of The Day: OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI?

Today's Nail of The Day is another color from OPI; Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? well the answer I do! This is a really nice purple color for a nice everyday polish. The formulation is nice and I just love OPI. I think that only 1 polish from there has ever disappointed me! It seems as if I am seeing more purple for fall at my stores. Yay!

I love how this polish has a sheen to it, I love how it can work for fall or spring. I really love purple nail polish. It really seems to bring out the color in my skin. I love OPI don't you?!

Benefit Boxed Powder Blush in Bella Bamba: Review & Swatch!

I went a little bit crazy, ( A LOT crazy!) at Sephora this weekend and picked up stuff that I didn't need but wanted to try out so much! This is one of those items. Benefit Bella Bamba. I wanted a new blush that could be seasonal for all different types of weather. This is perfect for me because I can build it up or sheer it out with a light hand. I wanted to make sure I was getting a really nice blush for $28 even though you can return it once you return it goes on display because you've already used it.

I love the design on this blush just as much as the blush itself. Whenever you hold it up and move it around it creates like a 3D affect which is so cool and unique. I've never seen anything like it before!

As for the blush it's a really nice coral/pink with little golden shimmers in it. It even comes with a little brush for you to use. I personally hate these kinds of brushes but for someone with no brushes it is perfect!

I love this blush, I can see why everyone was raving about it before it's just that amazing!

Benefit boxed powders come with 8 grams of product for $28 which I think is good because it's almost the amount of a foundation! But I tend to run out of foundation before blush, this blush is a good deal and is amazing!

Let me know if you try it out?

1. What's your favorite high end makeup brand?
2. Whats your favorite blush?
3. What's your most expensive beauty product?

Mac Powder Blush in Dame: Review & Swatch

Today's Review is on my all time favorite blush from MAC. It's Mac Blush in Dame. Since I ran out recently I went to the store today and picked up a new one. I was specifically going in there to get just the blush but knowing me I had to keep looking around and finding something I wanted my I used my gut feeling and I did't get it. So now onto the review.  MAC powder blushes retail for about $20 which is not bad for a blush because the ones from benefit are $28 but with the Mac one you get about 6 grams of product.

As you can see Dame is a really nice baby pink and is perfect for light-medium skin tones.

I personally love MAC blushes and I think that they're worth the money. I love the quality and I think you will too!

LUSH The Comforter Bubble Bar!

Little Mini Lush haul today! I went to my local Lush Yesterday and picked up two of  The Comforter Bath Bubble Bars because They feel amazing on my skin and I was out! I had to because they are just so relaxing to rub on your body. They are a bit pricey but they are worth it. If you Would like to buy one go here. I recommend keeping them in one of the lush tins because leaving them in your shower will make them melt away. Purchase here. For about $4 extra they are worth it and you can use them for the future too!

Be careful when you take them out of the bag. They melt like BUTTER! Which is amazing on your skin but is not amazing to be wasting something for almost $11 each!

The Comforter Bar is amazing! it lasts me about 5-7 baths and it is just wonderful. This is one of my favorite lush products. Lush describes it as "as vibrant fruitiness gives you the feeling of being enveloped in a warm hug and gently consoled by the friendly fruit aroma of a blackcurrant candy. It was created to bring a real sense of comfort to people, just like a real comforter would." I totally agree. It smells like berries and is very relaxing.Kinda like getting hugged by a very cozy blanket ( if that even makes sense? ha)

~NEW* I want to get your answers on your favorite things from different places so now every blog post I would like of you could answer these 3-5 questions~ Thanks!

Nail Of The Day: OPI Designer De Better!

Today's Nail of the Day is amazing. I love the rose gold effect on my nails, especially in the fall time. If you're like me and you like OPI nail polish then this one is a staple for you. This polish was in the "The Muppets" collection in 2011. But if you're lucky you can find it online. (Link here.) This polish goes with any outfit I wear, and is just flawless. I personally think that The Muppets collection is one of the best ones they ever came out with mainly for fall, which is why now is the time i'll be bringing them back out again :). I have all the polishes so be sure to look for some future Nail of the days ;)

OPI Polishes retail for Roughly $8.50 but they're totally worth it. You can find OPI at target, Ulta or almost any other drugstore! If you try OPI for the first time leave me a comment down below how you're experience was. Or just leave a comment. I love reading comments ;)

Bath&BodyWorks: "Tis the Season"  Candle

Better than Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin! The "Tis the Season" winter collection candle is by far my favorite candle EVER! I can absolutely smell the warm cider and apples in them and is a wonderful smell. I lit this in my bathroom while I was getting ready this morning and I did not want to leave. It's soo amazing! Delicious smelling like I am at an apple orchard! Ready to buy all of them in stores. They are delicious. So you may be wondering. What's this smell like? ( If you would like to purchase this candle go here.)

I just can't say anything about this because i'm stunned on how I'm just now trying this! This candle says.. "Fill your home with iconic fragrences of the season as golden apples, deep green pine and a touch of ground cinnamon blend to create a timeless and heartwarming scent"

I love it and so will you!

LUSH: Cupcake Face Mask!

I went to Lush a few days ago and I went up to the lady and said "What do you have for oily skin?" She told me cupcake would be great. So I tried it. I LOVE this! If you suffer from oily or spotty skin, like me. definitely consider stopping by a LUSH because the ladies are so nice and friendly even if you don't like a product you can return it. I typically stay to natural, organic face washes/cleansers and this is definitely one of my favorites EVER. ( If you would like to purchase this from lush click here.)

So, I think that this is perfect for a sleepover for teenagers or a "girls night" with the ladies  But if you're looking for a more cheaper option you can try the Mint julep one or the ones that come in  little packets at the drugstore. I personally love lush and their products never disappoint me.

What's your favorite LUSH product?

Nail of the Day: Butter London Toff

Today's nail is Butter London Toff. This is the most beautiful shade of purple I have ever seen and is the perfect purple for me for fall. I have grown my nails out recently so I've been loving to paint my nails a lot. Butter London polishes are amazing but for the price it's only a splurge ever so often. For $14 each i'll just use a lot of my OPI because they are only $8 anyways I love this polish and is just stunning!

What's your favorite Butter London Polish?

Burning Candles: Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake

Recently Candles have been part of my life. I burn them in the morning whole getting ready, and before I go to bed at night. Can't get enough of them! They're so delicious smelling. My sister brought a Yankee Candle fundraiser home and I've been trying to hold back but I can't.  I ordered the Cherries in the Snow candle and I'm SO excited to burn it. (future blog post soon!)

I love the description on this candle. It perfectly suits it. It says "Bring the bakery home with a cozy concoction of spiced pumpkin cupcake, rich buttercream and frosted ginger." Bath and body works candles are amazing. I stocked up on the 2 for $20 so I'm fully loaded till winter! :)

Nail Of The Day: Essie Bahama Mama!

Ring in the fall colors! Today's nail pick is Essie Bahama Mama. Bahama Mama is a deep berry red color. Can you say perfect for the fall? I absolutely love this polish. It's a recent one for my nail polish collection. I find myself changing up polishes a lot. Without doing Nail of the Days. You might not see another one in a week because I do NOT want to take this off my nails. I really love this polish and goes with mostly any fall outfit that I wear.

I really love this deep purple color for fall. I'm really excited to wear it even more! I personally think that it is amazing! and 2 coats of this was just enough for me!

What's your favorite essie nail polish?
xoxo
